Handknotted carpet with a modern design.

A handmade carpet can also have a modern design.
When talking about handmade carpets, traditional oriental patterns often come to mind. None can be more wrong because today handmade carpets are manufactured in a traditional way but with a modern design.

A known example of this is the Danish design agency Tvedt & Co who designed a whole collection of carpets called "Feel Good Rugs". These carpets are made in a traditional way in Nepal and have become very popular, even in the modern homes.

Today carpets with a modern design are made mainly in India, Nepal and China.

Some examples of modern designed carpets:

New-Yorker / Manhattan 160x90
 Kaiku - Echo 160x100
 Kaiku - Echo 230x160
 Summer meadow / Blomsteräng 400x300
