Post treatment of the carpet

Polishing | Washing | Drying | Control & repairing

All carpets are inspected before being sold off/resold.

Before the carpets can be put up for sale the very important stage of post treatment is performed.

When the carpet is woven there are four more steps before it is put up for sale. These four steps are not as time-consuming as the weaving but nevertheless as important in order to get a good result.

Polishing - The pile is cut to the intended length.

Washing - The carpet is washed thoroughly in order to remove textile dust from the polishing and to remove loose colours and also for the colours to be fixed.

Drying - The carpet needs to be dried properly after the washing so that the colours stabilize and to keep the shape of the carpet.

Control & repairing - After the polishing, washing and drying the carpet is inspected very carefully to see that no holes or other damages have occured during the treatments.
